Trex IPTV on MAG and Formuler boxes
A different model entirely: nothing to install, and the box identifies itself rather than you logging in.
Before you start
- Your MAG or Formuler box
- The box MAC address
Find the MAC address
It is printed on the underside of the box and also shown under System Settings, in the device information screen. On a portal the MAC is the credential, which is why we ask for it at checkout.
Enter the portal URL
Under Settings, System Settings, Servers, Portals, put the portal address from your account into Portal 1 and give it a name. Leave Portal 2 empty.
Restart the box
Restart from the menu rather than pulling the power. The portal loads on boot, and a clean restart avoids a stale session.
Understand the trade-off
A MAG line is bound to that specific box. It cannot be moved to a phone the way an Xtream line can. For a household that wants one television to simply work, that simplicity is the point.
