Trex IPTV on Amazon Fire TV Stick

Before you start
- A Fire Stick on your network
- Your Trex IPTV credentials
- Five uninterrupted minutes
Reveal Developer Options
Open Settings, then My Fire TV, then About, and click the device name seven times. On current Fire OS versions Developer Options stays hidden until you do this, which is where most people get stuck before they have started.
Allow installs from Downloader
Back in My Fire TV, open Developer Options and enable installing unknown apps for the Downloader app specifically. Granting it per-app rather than globally is the safer habit.
Install Downloader, then the player
Downloader itself comes from the Amazon appstore. Open it, enter the numeric code from our Apps page, and let it fetch and install. Neither Amazon nor Google carries third-party IPTV players, which is why this step exists at all.
Enter your Xtream details
Choose Xtream Codes login and type the server address, username and password exactly as they appear in your account, watching capitalisation. The first catalogue load takes a few seconds and is cached afterwards.
Fix the network before you judge it
A Fire Stick is Wi-Fi only unless you add an Ethernet adapter, and Wi-Fi is where most streaming complaints begin. If the picture stutters, that adapter is a better purchase than a newer Stick.
Worth knowing
- If Developer Options is missing, click the device name seven times under Settings, My Fire TV, About.
- An Ethernet adapter fixes more stuttering than a newer Stick does.
- Delete the downloaded installer afterwards - a Fire Stick runs short of storage quickly.
